Hi! I'm Rhonda Easter McCutcheon, owner of Evergreen Florist of Ripley. I grew up right here in Ripley, WV and grew up at Cedar Lakes Greenhouses. I have been around the flower business all of my life except for a short stent of living in NC. I am married to Perry McCutcheon and have 2 great daughters, Erica and Olivia. I am a phlebotomist by trade but when I was homeschooling my children I started helping my parents at the flower shop and here we are...now owner! My father passed in 2016 and my mom stayed as owner until I purchased the business from her in 2021. It just gets in your blood! I wanted this business that our parents worked to hard at to be in the family and continue on. My parents raised my sisters and I with a great work ethic and being raised at a greenhouse there were never days that were idle, they had us working!
My mom and dad, Bill & Sharon Easter have been in the flower business since the late 1960's working first with John and Edna Fitzgerald at Fitzgerald Greenhouses, then, in 1976 becoming the owners of Cedar Lakes Greenhouses. I can remember as a little girl going to Edna's greenhouse with my mom. My parents purchased Cedar Lakes Greenhouses and raised bedding flowers and cut flowers, but their specialty were cut mums. With that success, the flowers grown right here in Jackson County were transported to local stores and across the state of West Virginia. They ventured onto having Evergreen Florist in 1990, giving the residents of Ripley, and
surroundingareas quality flowers and Christian Supply items.
My parents were also born and raised here, and always loved living and working here in Ripley, and love and appreciate the residents here in Jackson County.
